Quick checklist

  • Measure the piece at its widest points
  • Measure every doorway, turn, and stair landing
  • Remove contents and personal property
  • Share parking, elevator, and loading details

Count by type and location

List desks, task chairs, conference chairs, tables, cabinets, bookcases, reception pieces, and miscellaneous items. Add the floor and room for each group. Mark pieces that are assembled, built in, unusually heavy, or attached to power and data.

Separate furniture from records and electronics

Empty personal property, files, confidential records, and equipment before the removal window. Furniture removal does not automatically include data destruction, electronics recycling, or building repairs. Confirm those needs separately.

Plan the route and sequence

Confirm elevator reservations, dock or loading-zone access, parking limits, door credentials, and building hours. Prioritize furniture that blocks the route, then stage smaller pieces only where the property allows.

Before you schedule

Send or describe the item list and route details, then confirm scope, price, timing, and exclusions directly. For this pickup type, see Office Furniture Removal or prepare your estimate notes.
