Quick checklist

  • Measure the piece at its widest points
  • Measure every doorway, turn, and stair landing
  • Remove contents and personal property
  • Share parking, elevator, and loading details

Empty every compartment

Remove clothing, documents, jewelry, shelf liners, and loose hardware. Do not leave “light” items inside; drawers can slide, contents can shift, and the added weight changes handling.

Record the useful dimensions

Measure width, height, and depth, including trim, handles, and attached feet. If a mirror or hutch is attached, note its fasteners and measure the complete piece before assuming it can be separated.

Walk the exit route

Compare the dresser dimensions with doors, hall turns, stair landings, and railings. Tell the provider whether drawers come out, whether the piece is solid wood, and whether there are fragile stone or glass components.

Before you schedule

Send or describe the item list and route details, then confirm scope, price, timing, and exclusions directly. For this pickup type, see Bedroom Furniture Removal or prepare your estimate notes.
